First of all i need to say that i really appreciate what you are doing here, i wouldn't expect to find a place like this. I started to understand what a chip-tuning means (just started, this doesn;t mean i understand :peaceful:), what are the maps and what they are doing...

What i miss(the most important part) is what maps needs to be changed, and what is the starting rpm, load range and percentage to go up (or percentage range) for every map... I mean what would be a common way to do it... Does any of you have any documentation about this, or can guide me ?

I want to play with my wife's peugeot 307 1.6HDI 80KW (and i hope not to blow the engine) , so i attached original file ... if maybe somebody can change it (standard chip-tunning with 20-25% power and torque gain) i hope to figgure out what was done by comparation of the files.

So, I'm working hard over super-encryption of a tuning file. The goal is once it is recorded, it can not be removed and given to another. Then I see what they will do and how they will sell my files to others. I've even put another one, trying to read such a file, to lock the computer on the car. There are several good programmers my friends are working on to do like crypto software. The task is very difficult, but not impossible. Currently, conventional methods of protecting tuning files do not keep for authorship at 100 percent.

Greetings everyone.

I made new thread in ECU sections now i post here. I hope it`s not a problem.

First of all, i`m new in this, got interested in all of this because i bought this Kia a month ago and came with a error P2454 (DPF Sensor), reading trough the internet and forums i realized that the best thing would be remove that DPF (by software and hardware).

I have Kia Rio 1.1 CRDI 2012 MY, ECU is Delphi DCM3.7AP, i`m second owner and i dont know if first owner messed with ecu.

I read ECU with kess v2 clone trough 393 port but in the end it said checksum error and program closed (installed all C++ redistributable), still i got file saved, read it 3 times and size of file was same.

Now i read on this forum that when kess throws checksum error it is possible that ECU was modified before and now i can`t do checksum correction with WinOLS (ver 2.24), it doesn` recognize it, maybe because ECU was modified before...

I have ADS and he found the maps for DPF but i`m afraid if i flash with no checksum correction my car won`t start at all...

Can you help me please and if you can do dpf off and egr off?

And if i write modified file with dpf and egr off will DPF sensor throw MIL or it would be erased also?

I really have low hopes that someone will actually help me. But maybe. I saw other people are lucky with this.
I tried my best to do EGR OFF switch myself, looked at tens of forums, but my engine (ecu software) are pretty rare and none of info works on my bin.

I have applications that automatically does EGR off and DPF OFF but i dont want them, i need only egr off by switch. No need to change maps.
Maybe some kind and smart man will help me. Thanks in advance.

I read file by KESS.
