Dear DK

We have a Hyundai Sonata 2011 Prox model. We have learnt that this car has been in accident and totaled off and previous owner reworked the car after buying from insurance auction

At present, the current owner lost all keys, we tried program in key and every programmer gives us same result: "Pincode incorrect" . This made us realize of the possibility of a ECU or Immo swap before hence the programmer shows invalid pin because we have been using Pincode based on VIN sticker. So if ECU+immo has been swapped from another car, the VIN would be different hence different pincode

we dont have the VIN number of the new(current) ecu to get us pincode. How can we retrieve new VIN from ECU or the pincode. Can anyone enlighten me where the pincode is stored, ie, ECU or IMMO.

Your help will much appreciated. Thanks in advance

PS: we have tried one hour leave key in ignition slot and battery reset in order to get out immo lock mode

i tried almost all tools including skp,x100 etc, all tools says "incorrect access code" or security code wrong" or "pincdoe error"

What ecu is it? Should be able to read vin diagnostically from engine ecu, then convert to correct pin.

The pin code is stored in the Bosch ECU in the engine bay beside the battery (diesel) .
tango can give the pin or program in new keys

Yes true...i thought of that but cannot connect any diagnostic device because there is no ignition on

Bypass ignition, or connect direct to ecu

You could always follow up with the customer to make sure everything worked out for them.

Can't speak for everyone but I'm hesitant to accept advice from someone named "phuckyall".

well im so late to reply but here i would like to share my experience

first of all we need correct pin code of both

1st pin for ecu (ecu pin as shown vin number under scanner)
2nd pin for immo or smartra (if immo or smartra are same, i mean original of car then that car vin number)
3rd new blank key (if you change ECU or Swap Ecu you must be use new blank Key otherwise its show key lurnt and remote also work but car won't start)

and key programming is as same as all we are programming..

sorry for the bad english but hope it will help you...
