Compared main files of 2 lawnmowers, all differences in 3 pictures. Compared 95640

I burned data from Bolfa to 95640 and now when pressing 9 I see the same serial and different security code GAQA GJNE VHIA. It would be nice to know is Bolfa had the same security code or not. If yes, PIN would be coded in 95640 only. If not - it depends on serial also, which is stored somewhere else. Maybe someone know more about this?

Update: As I see, this security code is generated with some random or time factor. Each time I reboot device - it generate new code. So now I am not sure about where PIN is stored

670620670621Sorry for post hijacking,i have the same problem with Automower 105( is the same as 310-315).Brand new device,asking pin at power-on.Has two boards in it: one for motor,charging,battery control with STM32f215zgt6 CPU and two eeproms connected : M95020 and M95640.I have read the content of eeproms but no security is stored there.In M95640 is stored the pin entry timer and some mosfet parameters.Also without correct data in it will not start,so there is some config also for different models.STM32f215zgt6 has 1 Mbyte flash and 512 Kb OTP,not managed to read out nothing,maybe read protected with debug mode needed to acces flash content.But PIN not stored in there.The pin access is stored on a secondary board under keyboard with STM32f103zgt6 cpu with one eeprom connected to it :M95020. I have read the content of it and nothing conclusive .But during power on if I short the Data out pin to ground,it boots up and can enter menu and all settings except PIN change.Some photos attached and eeprom dump for that model.

As I understand you need to transfer eeprom in display board and maybe bigger one in main board. As I understand mainboard eeprom 95640 correspond to count of retries of wrongly entered pins

Does anyone if there is a limit on the number of PIN attempts that you can make?
From reading the 305 manual, there appears to be a increasing timeout for incorrect PIN attempts:

PIN request
This function means that the mower requests a PIN code when the main switch is set to 1 and each time the cover is opened. The correct PIN code must be entered to use the mower. If the wrong PIN code is entered 5 times in succession the mower is blocked for a time. The blockage time is extended for every new incorrect attempt.

"Wrong PIN" on display
Wrong PIN code has been entered.Five attempts are permitted, andthe keypad is then blocked for fiveminutes.


Does anyone if this timeout can be bypassed, for example, by power cycling the mower?

To answer my own question, yes, there is a timeout after you enter in the incorrect PIN.
My observations:
You can enter in the incorrect pin 5 times with no timeout.
Then the display gives "Mower blocked, X minutes" where X minutes is the time that you have to wait until your next attempt.
After each additional try, the X amount is doubled, e.g. after each attempt you have to wait 5 min, 10min, 20min, 40 min etc. Power cycling the mower with the physical button on the back, or removing and reinserting the battery, sets the timeout back so that you have to wait again. So it is impossible to brute force the four digit pin without resetting this timeout and/or the number of previous attempts.

Hi, for the AMC models you can't read the security code on the display, it's actually possible on USB.
Of course just from the serial it's impossible to get the PIN. From your serial this is produced in 2022 which means it should still be in warranty, so please address the issue with your local Husqvarna dealer.

The approach of a black box doesn't really apply here. Giving some inputs and observing the output will not lead to figuring out the algorithms. Unfortunately dumping the eeproms will not help, first because the pin is stored encrypted, second because it is stored in the flash of the mcu which has security enabled. Dumping the mcu flash will need considerable effort.

Hi, your mower has the connect module, that one with 4G I believe. From what I've observed these ones ask for user to connect with Husqvarna app and get the recovery PIN from there, but to be honest I don't know because I don't have such Husqvarna mower to see how this works.
I guess on USB it's possible to get the encrypted PIN, but here they have moved to a new encryption scheme called V2 which will give a 256 bytes hash code.

Hi, I bought them for myself a long time ago, due to returns, not complete, I thought I could handle the pin, but it's not that easy. I've been struggling with this for about a month and a half, as I couldn't cope with them, I currently have 2x Yard Force in my garden, also purchased in the same way + 2 pieces in parts for them, the same with the garden, I have 3 mowers, 2 working power stations and one battery, do you think it's worth adding it? I will buy 1 battery, I will start 2 mowers to mow the lawn and one will remain for parts, please do not measure them all by your own standards, no one can live on 3 mowers. I may not be able to handle Gardena, but I can help you with another brand. Regards.
