hello everyone please help customer brought me an AAM module from a mercedes benz w163 and lost key is it possible to connect this module on bench to gererate keys if so can some1 please help with a wiring diagram im planning on using fvdi to program a new key will it be okay thank you i have picture of AAM module regards.

I think in this type of aam there is no keys, you need to find EAM module on car.

It looks like sam module not a aam
Anther friend shows you aam
Take a car and look car's year
If it manufactured after 2001 has eam(locate laft nee driver side of left hand car)
Fvdi can programm all aam and eam cars
Do not assembly it and program it by obdii

Yap, but first u need pre code your PCF7935 before, if is blank key

Leave ignition off prepare key and keylearning from OBD works Greet with AVDI works fine

You can do the reading of the EAM with avdi if you have it, you can also do the reading with Xprog and program the key with tango.

I have one like your before, If ML before 2000 (key in AAM), you can use FVDI or Carprog for that.

If your ML is after 2000, key in EAM, there are only solution that remove EAM, read MCU with Xprog in adapter HC05

MCU usual 0D47V read as: MC68HC705X32 (2D59J).

Load dump in Gambit. WORK 100%.

Your AAM had no key, so you need remove EAM, read and program with Gambit.

If you program key via OBD, yes PCF7935 need precode before.

Use Gambit, just take blank 7935 and program in any used key. That what i did.

thank you lion0304 for the info,,,,,, luckly because i was goin to program a blank 7395 chip via obd i remember seeing something on my zed bull but i will investigate further ,,,please explain to me on the bench i can use a virgin transponder to program but via obd it has to be precode why is that ? and precoded chip are basically used transponder chips right?

Many others trying with Tagkey and did not work for EAM model after 2000.

Only GAMBIT can do.

That's not true. Tagkey tool will precode chip for any model of ML w163 and and AVDI program fine via OBD

If I see all the confusing posts in here, I sometimes believe, whether some people here are hired by companies to Sell FVDI, Gambit etc. Software by promising it might be solving the issue. Really Strange. :crushed:

However.... I buyed an FVDI clone from China over FVDIOBD.com and it works perfectly. So thanks for the tips... does no matter whether you are doing this for help or just to get some kind of bonus.

Remove EAM inside the under steering wheel, remove MCU read with Xprog on adapter.

Tango, TM100, Gambit for transponder or

Precode 7935 with tagtool and learn by obd like somes advise here (i not tested this by myself yet)

W163 2000+ cannot read immo data by obd. Only before 2000 with AAM.
