If so can you tell me what to expect ?

Stripout?

Tsop/soic/msop? Needles off or back of the board?

or you can do it by obd2, however desolder eeprom is better

If obd program ok then why remove eeprom better?

OBD correcting sometimes damage new mazda dashboards - if you check this form you could find that many people have problem with this
