Audi A3 dash dump and restore

hi.

I have two instrument panels. one from my 2001 A3 8L and one from eBay. both 2001 and made within 4 months of each other.

the pointers on my original dash are broken and if like to swap dashes over. the problem is that the eBay dash has the 999999 mileage checksum issue.

is it possible to dump the dash from the original and restore it to the eBay dash and expect it to work as a cloned dash properly?

the dash is a magnetti morrelli.

if so what would I need programmer wise?

if number of tacho was same 8L0.................. tacho will be work. If not the same - who knows :), make a copy of motorola memory and try.
For me in this situation if tacho numbers wasn't same : use DP3 ... fix checksum in new dash, make mileage what you want, and make new key transponder or make immo off.
What was broken in old dash ?
