Hello. I tried to activate the multimedia with a wrong code more than 5 times. Now I got the right code from the former owner, but the multimedia does not recognize the car (or the other way) and it does not ask me for the code. It Just turn on and donot respond. Any sugestions? Thanks

I see now on the forum that dump is needed to unlock it, but I have no tools or knowledge to do that.
Does this require removing the chip from the board.
I got the unit from scrapped car via the eBay. I will try with local dealership.

If the dealers refuse to help me is there anyone willing to help me unlock this, I would send you the unit and obviously pay for the effort and shipping costs.

Btw when I remove fist two letters and enter the remaining numbers on https://mygarage.honda.com/s/radio-nav-result?brand=Honda it gives a code, but I still didn't receive unit so I can't test.
Maybe someone can confirm if the codes got that way work.
