How the heck do ya play a .m3u8 file on windows ?

I have VLC and it wont play it and windows media player wont play it either, tried on windows 7 and windows 10, still no joy.

Anyone know ?

Vlc will play a m38u file no problem, its a playlist file if it wont play then its not in the correct format for a m38u file

If you open it in vlc then click view > playlist it will show what is in the playlist

maybe the playlist file is broken
