How install renault clip

Hello every body. My name is Daniel I'm coming from france and I'm new in this site.

I wanna now if it is possible to install the renault clip in a traditional computer. I have the can sonda and the V.92. But when I try install the clip the computer tell me not the clip base and he turn off the installation.

Any body can help me to do that please.

What I was knowing is that your operating system need drivers for CAN sonde to be installed. For the original laptop, Renault provides Windows preinstalled with the originale ones.

Why use v89 when you can download from here the latest version!! Have a look in the software thread for v96. As far as I know the crack will work with all versions. You may need the spx crack also.

Depending on which clip you have. If you have a chinese clone then use what you were sent. Don't use a later version. Mine was supplied with v92. It worked perfectly until I installed v95. It did a firmware update & now it will not read vin no.s & will not run the reprog. Others have had more serious problems with the firmware update on clip. The platform crack & SPX will work on all versions.
So you have been warned. If you are lucky to have a genuine clip then v97 is the latest & reprog v 84 are on DK.

Wen install first time Clip in my case chinese V90 is esencial on wich car you conect the sonde?I mean first time wen I try to install I use my Megane II 1.5dci 2006 and after that my Clip not work with older cars like 2000.

Well mate, the easiest way to solve the problem and save you money and time, is to send back this unit to the seller you bought it from, and ask him to replace it to you..
I know there is a thread here in DK speaking about a chip to replace and cane be the issue, but I think it will be the last chance solution for you, try the first option first.

i HAS SAME PROBLEM, solved very easy, poblem was in round connector which goes from unit to car. fixed easy with needle tightened all small connectors ......and problem solved

You can take the end panel & connector off the clip. Then use a meter to see if all the connectors from the obd plug are connected to the circuit board of clip.

To avoid PERMANENTLY this SHIT do the following steps:
1) Alt+Ctrl+Del (Kill process RSRWin.exe)
2) Delete RSRWin.exe (in C:\Windows)
3) Use Regedit (and Delete "ALL" values with name RSRWin)
4) Reboot your machine!!!
5) NO MORE flash for SPX Registration...

Have a look around dk as this is covered in previous threads. the file is installed in C:windows/system32/drivers. do a search on your computer for it.

It is not any different. However SPX only support it when installed on their tested laptops as they are not going to check every laptop ever made. So they attempt to stop you from installing it on any machine they have not tested.

i have installed renault clip v96 and updated to v101 i have put the drivers on and it works fine with megane 11 with multiplex but when trying yo use on the older renaults without multiplex it wont load up when i press computer test nothing happens i have unistalled it and installed again but still cant get it to work any ideas thanks dave

Yes it will, but you will have to direct it to c:windows/system32/drivers as it will look for them on a d: drive

when you connect the CLIP/sonde/adapter/unit to a renault, all 4 leds should lite up ( 2 green, 2 red)
when this happens, if you have it connected for the 1st time, the pc should self install 5 drivers in total, i can't remmember the names, but i counted the times it pop up a menu.
if you have more than 1 usb port, i would suggest that you unplug the usb connector from the intsaled port and reconnect it to another port, the drivers would then reinstall itself.
restart the laptop and diagnose your car.

which micro usb connector is that? there should be a few cables, the main one would be a usb connecotr from the laptop to CLIP via a usb bf connector, it is the one right in the center of the unit

Did it install the four drivers when you connected to the car. Stopping at 98% could be that it is failing to do the firmware update. These clones can suffer with bad connection to the probe, so check it.

Yes, it installed all four drivers.

I did all as described...
first the registry, then installed clip software, then connected the sonde first to the car and then to the usb port and installed all 5 drivers

I had one time the problem that a message appeared telling me something like the firmware update failed.
There i thought it depended on not being connected to the internet.

Can I proceed it manually?

edit: I used a so called corporate edition of win xp, might there be something missing to run correct?

I don't think there are any problems with you xp version. Try A different usb cable & different port. It will want to install drivers for this new port. The firmware update is done the first time a new version is run & not needing to be connected to ren.net. Try another computer, different car & if still no go then back to the supplier it goes. My clip only ever seen the vin no. the first time it was run & never again. If it is failing to run @ 98% then you should remove the software completely. Manually delete everything before re installing. don't install the same version you did the first time. You could try re-installing the basic drivers first. see below, Have a look back through this thread & I'm sure you will get it running.

You can`t install without clip. The installation must find the interface ( especially Cypress controller ) for installing drivers and the clip interface MUST be connected to an working native Reno ( with CAN bus I mean ).
And for vista you can download v105, maybe it will work with vista and W7. You find on google v105, but without clip, no chance to install, buy a clip, it` cheaper now, only 350 euros !

M8 just try on FileCrop - Search and Download Rapidshare Megaupload and Hotfile Files (http://www.filecrop.com) and you will see how many version you will find but in my opinion you must have xp not wista or 7.

@BeianM : I've passed all the stages of installation, until showing clip interface, clip had to do the identification number vin automatically. But the clip was silent when I want to do a diagnostic computer.

Hello guys, I'm asking for help for my clip. I bought it with version 103. I immediately installed the v 104 and I crashed in a firmware update. I run the tool. bat and I have resolved the firmware update. but now I expect the cypress and ISO and can. Total 3 drivers and says it is installed. I open the software and try clio with a multiplex network. the bar is not moving. put Out the interface and the bar starts to move ... as if it were attacked ... You have to test on your own risk, if your clone is working fine under version 103, then the chances for it to work with 107 are good...
remove old version from your laptop totally, and install a new fresh installation of the 107 version.
Before using this version and try it with your sonde, think to take a look on halp panel, on "what's new" menu, if the differences shown are so important to make the update, else, keep your version, at leats you're sure it works well!!

If yours Clone is not version related(close) then is ok you can installed the new 107 version.
How to: first you have to uninstall the old version. then run a specific file to adjust registry, install the new version, remove a file from registry and windows directory and all ok.

I have upgraded v101 to v109. Nothing special, just uninstall old version, put again crack.reg and install new version. Delete RSRwin like usual. That's all.

Some Clip versions not work on Win7 (I think cracked), this v109 with a page behind is one of them. I tested on XP work fine, but on Win7 not recognise sonde (unknown device) and can't install drivers even manually.
One v107 found on other forum, on win7 recognise sonde, installed only 3 drivers (one of them JCAE_CAN_AVANT... says device disconnected), but seems working fine, tested on my car multiplexed. And linking with Dialogys works ... but it takes about 2-3 minutes to open pdf file.

LE: In win7 you must install and run the program in XP SP3 or Vista compatibility mode and administrators privilege.

hello i have problem with my renault can clip , soft ver 103,
Device connects to the young car, but with older, ie more or less than 2003. Message pops up: "erreur connexion au serveur TCP / IP (DgIpSvr.exe) 127.0.0.1 port 8001" I checked on:
Renault Scenic 1998 year , Renault Clio 2002 year - a message pops up and does not connect up. in addition, when you click OK the system will automatically log out.
What's the problem?
I would add that the year 2009 for example, Laguna, Megane, 2005 - with those cars running all great.

I will add that I turned off the network card in a laptop, or it could be the cause?????

FULL Instructions :
Before installing please do the following steps:
1. Uninstall previous version of Renault CAN-Clip if you have
2. IF your 1st installation: Run Crack.reg

After installation finish & you will reboot, you will get SPX Registration....
To avoid PERMANENTLY this, do the following steps:
1. Alt+Ctrl+Del (Kill process RSRWin.exe)
2. Delete RSRWin.exe (in C:\Windows)
3. Use Regedit (and Delete "ALL" values with name RSRWin)
4. Reboot your machine!!!
5. NO MORE flash for SPX Registration...

Before your 1st Running with the program make those steps:
You NEED to have 1 Renault Car (and ALWAYS Renault clip running-working)
when you have Renault Car!!!
1. Connect your Clip Sonde Can Interface 1st in your Car (OBD Slot)
2. Turn Ignition ON (NOT Engine running)
3. Connect your Clip Sonde Can Interface via USB cable with your computer
4. Start to installing ALL the Drivers (that they will be appearing) and
you can find those in: C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers or from this DVD
in the folder "CAN-Clip Drivers".
5. You must INSTALL 4 Drivers (4 TIMES the same thing)
After you finish, you can RUN now finally your CAN-Clip Software
