What is your WIN OS? I have heard that laptop users with WIN OS 10 have such problems. If you have OS 10 try on a different laptop. I have WIN OS 7 32 bit and OS 8.1 64bit. Everything works without any problem and without turning off the internet.

Can you tell us if the OBD2 socket was connected to the car or powered from the 12Vdc external source? I tend to think not.
That's what I think is the problem for you. So, go with your laptop to the car, plug in the OBD2 jack, eventually reinstall the drivers if needed and then do the test.
Or, give us more details.

Hi Thanks for the reply.

I tried it off that video but couldn't save the files to the desktop so I saved them to documents and then to desktop.Do I have to send the files to be modified like it says in the video..?
So I have to download the ditnetfix 3.5 etc for it to work.
The instructions in the box were different.
Ie open main.exe but that didn't work either.

I did what you said went to post 372 which took me back to a post which had I think the file converter I need..!
I'm now lost again as it had the hex2stuff converter thing but that was just an image and a rar file.
Is the hex2stuff supposedto convert the XML file is it the keygen / file converter..?
Sorry for being thick.
The XML file I have to save does the keygen change that..?

Your activation file is where you saved it. I always save to the desktop. Yours can be in the folder with Delphi software. If you don't find it, generate the next one and save it to your desktop. Then upload here.

It doesn't matter Autocom or Delphi. You need to delete the old activation file and generate a new one. Is this file new?

The 2016.0 version is bad. Better use the new 2020.23.
