What kind of Chevy do you have? Some you can clear by the scanner

I do this chip/mask all the time with Carprog on bench with out opening (you need the special adapter). I do not know of any other tool that does them like that tho so your left with opening it and reading with programmer capable of hc08 mcu if no carprog.
