I'm working on a DB9 with LEFT ECU missing communication.
I don't have wiring diagrams at this time to check connectors/wires and grounds...

Any help will be very welcomed.

Thanks!!

Unlucky, you been a naughty boy to end up with one of them.

last time had Aston in, can’t remember how, left hand side of the car
bulkhead had hole let water in, possible the same and rotted wiring

chances of getting wiring diagram will be Nil and void . Post image of ecu
see if anybody can guess what else it fits.

cant remember which Aston but one was just a rebadged jaguar. Relays in boot said
jagar, could see it when looked inside

Yep...seems that I don't have enough stress and problems.... Now this!!!

So far...I found a seller that states other vehicles compatibility ..

Model:
05 ASTON MARTIN

Part Description:
Engine Computer Control Module Ecu Ecm Pcm Spanish Oak 4g4312a650dd Oem Aston Martin Db9 Dbs V12 Vantage

VIN of Donor Vehicle:
SCFAD01A65GA02760

I need wiring diagram to pinpoint from end to end. No key detected and temp gauge goes all the way up...
sounds to me there is a ground on comm wire messing around.

A guy from AM dealer told me that he NEVER SAW a DB9 with ECM problem...always wirings...

I'm standing by waiting for some info or diagrams...

Cheers

2005 Aston Martin DB9

Chapter #1

Actual diagnostic error shows NO communication with LEFT ECM, also there is a NO KEY error on instrument cluster display plus temp gauge goes all the way up.

Any tip or advise that lead me to solve this issue?

Chapter #2

I have restored communication with BOTH ECM's... but still have a issue.

ERROR KEY and the temp gauge goes ALL THE WAY UP..

Any ideas??

Error codes are as follows:
BANK 1

B1600 No key code received
P0705 Transmission range sensor circuit malfunction
P1000 System Check not completed (its nothing..)
P1797 CAN transmission control module to engine control module malfunction. (This one worries me..)

Chapter #3

I have done some more test on this car.
I disconnected the transmission plug to check CAN lines. I find out that there is NOTHING on pin #2 (CAN L) and pin #6 (CAN H)
No voltage as expected (2.4 + V) or ohms reading..

Checked also pin #13 / 16 for ground Its OK

Checked pin #14 for POSITIVE (perm) its OK

So, my question is..... who's the module before TCM ? I want to check the transceiver output on that module.

Any one with this info??

thanks!

Have you tried emailing them, as your 3000000 miles away from them, won’t cost you anything,
worse case, you add their email to “spam it back” or “surveys for cash”
