Hello DK!

Can somebody help change 28689kms in 17500kms? This looks like a RAV4 Denso.

Also, after change, do I need drive car to show new? Or will show on the bench rightaway?

Thanks in advance!

I read with smelecom multiplex. But it doesn't write back correctly... Anyone know if the BCM2 is better to write? After write, it still shows old mileage.

Or maybe can help calculate dump above..

Thanks,
A

No, its not a bad read, Most likely its not in the FUjitsu. Maybe in the c66 like another poster said? What got me is that the unit is almost identical with the RAV4... same board #, same components... Spansion S29GL128S MCU... etc...

Will try to read the c66...

The data is in eeprom and SPANSION processor, doing the eeprom only will not work.

The Spansion algo is like a Fujitsu, but with a different constant to get the CS.

This not Camry. This Corolla with Fujitsu. Look at the picture.

Most likely it is stored in the c66.... but I may not find out since the hot air gun decided to give it a lift into the abyss...... So now looking for a new unit.....

To be continued........

"I think" "Most likely" :roflmao:

If it has a Spansion processor it controls the display and stores the mileage. But go ahead and experiment. lol

As I understand it from research, 2019 Corolla is the same setup as the 2018 Camry.

I just confirmed... it is stored in the c66. I tried replacing the lost eeprom and I get diff #s with diff dumps.

Like I said above, this is very similar to a RAV4, not Camry... All parts are identical to 18-19 RAV4.

Now if I can just figure out the algo...............

Post a file and it can be corrected.

I guess what I read is wrong.

Algorithm is Denso

I tried all dumps for 17-19 on DK and none show the correct # (either 0 or large #s).... SO most likely the location is different...... Or perhaps the algo....

BTW codiprog reads/writes perfectly IC...

Too bad I lost the orig chip............................. #$%!^%^^!!!

Well, they may have been byte swapped from what your programmer reads and writes.

Are you writing them as 16 bit?

Post one of the dumps and the large number it displays.

angelo44
25th September, 2019, 03:41 AM
Ok... Here is a dump showing 404000....

And will try swapping next...

angelo44

And this one shows 4010 kms....

I can't make any sense out of any file or result you posted.

I think you need a different programmer. Or learn how to use it properly.

Reviving the thread.... After fixing the programmer issue, its confirmed - 19 Corolla has mileage in c66, and its Denso on line 0x010...

Now the 19 is diff than the earlier versions (on screen menu is driven by CAN/steering wheel buttons).... So I need a good 2019 dump in kms if anyone has to share....

JammerOne - your dump shows 17500 in Trip B.. most likely because its a 17?

BTW, I found a Corolla 19 dump on DK, but it shows in Miles... not sure if its the data or maybe its not for the model I have.....

I'd appreciate if anyone can share a file for a 2019 in kms... I dont care about kms...

Thanks everyone for all the help so far!!!

Your file is the same as this post but with other "mileage", however that file has not mileage, mileage is in Spansion mcu

RAV4 and Corolla has same board model (and same parts). However, RAV4 is in Fujitsu, and Corolla in the c66, just like the earlier years..

The example i posted above with a working dump was just.... an example... To show which dump works on this model vs a earlier model. Too bad it seems to be in miles.

Not sure why everyone thinks the Spansion S29GL128S has the mileage for Corolla.... when i change in c66, it changes on display... and in the car...

Has anyone modified the Spansion S26 and it worked too?

Has anyone corrected a 19 model with a Spansion mcu?

I am asking because maybe is in 2 locations.....

Geryy

S29GL128S this flash which includes firmware and animation for the lcd screen. Not for storage mileage. Other locations maybe in abs or srs.

Cheers!

Ok, all good now but the numbers are going back to the original after every restart..... What's the trick here?? Anyone know?

Geryy

Maybe wrong calculations mileage

angelo44
5th October, 2019, 12:33 AM
And how would the number be correctly showing then? Some say that its like the 19 Fit.... Need to drive 20-25 miles then unplug battery for 10 mins or so.... Anyone has another solution?
