I got only one key. Ordered another one. I want to avoid immo off.

Anyone knows the PIN to add the new key with VCDS ?

Do you read the ECU? Try to read the 95040 eeprom after post this file here. Maybe i can help.709331

Is there a way to read without getting the ECU out / benched ? I searched for "95040 eprom" and I see I need to read eprom with an eprom reader. I don't have such tools (yet - a good idea to get one to play around someday).


Got a few OBD plugs/clones (KKL old VAG-COM, VCDS 19, MPPS, KESS clones) to read/write maps/binaries. But I don't know anything about immobilizer. Is there software for that ?

Be very careful if you play with this car and cheap tools , you end up with Def on cluster .
Are you sure you have B7 or B6 ? usually B6 was with me7.5 .

If you have B7 , you may have immo 4 which is not possible to add key with VCDS, but however there was some early B7 with Me7.5 that had Immo 3 and VCDS can do keys on those.
Best will be if you post auto scan form VCDS, this way I can tell you what you have
