Comizelu I don't have opcom, but will try to get hold of 1, but surely if I edit the file from 2584 which is the donor speedo and put 0409 which is the current car pin code should that not just let me in? or would I just replace the 2584 hex with FF and then try too program back in...

Kiszka what did you think done when I came on here? its not what I normally get involved in, I have limited tools and limited knowledge of immobiliser in the speedo, so if you not going too put anything useful just don't reply

if thats your attitude with your 40 posts in 10 years, you can solve it yourself.
may the ribbon cable rip off the board as you cough from cornovirus
Kiszia has now got another rep point and thanks from me!

Not strictly speaking but less than 1 post a year over 10 years and all leeching bit of a pish take
As for why it wont start after editing the pin code one or more
1) check sum error
2) immboliser sync not correct
3) wrong id of clocks
4) if you read engine ecu currant fault of “xyz” is why not starting

thanks Meat Head, I don't come on much as I rarely get stuck working on cars and its not my thing know a little basics but thats about its so if you look at post its either when I have been stuck or had a small problem, apart from that I pop on and have read but can't help as I am not that good at what you people do.
Only reason I got involved with the car was though a friend of a friend who kept getting let down by a mobile Tech2 guy who said he could code 2nd hand set of clocks, so customer purchased the clocks but tech2 guy kept booking and cancelling.
So after a couple of hours yesterday I stripped donor clocks posted here got the security pin replaced that with the one for car thinking it would start then but no...
Anyway think my mate has opcom so will grab it later and hopefully be able to program the donor clocks with that....

You can not just edit the pin number in file and expect to work. you have other sync data olso.
From hex i see the file is from dash.
The car should work without dash or with a dash from another car without programing.
Also if dash is not original from car then you can have the surprise for the pin to not be the same as carpass from car.
If you want to change dash just swap the eeproms from dash.

So you you are saying if the Dash is not in car ( Astra H 2007 ) the car will start? As for the 1st dash not sure what happen too it as far as I can make the guy who fixing at 1st tried to swap Eeprom and damaged the chip, and told the lady he we come back but never did.

mate,first you have to:
1.reset the new instrument using tech2 and the pin code of the new instrument
2.after the reset is done you have to adapt the instrument using the original pin code of the car.
