immo off

I need to know by ur help how to turn the immo off from an ECU?
I know is stupid question but as I am a new in the field of autoecu I need ur help by asking you how do I get it off. and when we should use it?
do I have always to desolder the eprom from the Pcb to turn thr immo off?
