E36 Hard cut limiter

Hi friends:hello:, i need help with old BMW

Ithink its MS41 ecu, inside is AM28f512 Can someone make for me Hardcut limiter? (pop and bangs i dont know if it same)

I can open limiter to 8000rpm but no pops ;)

File is from 2.0 and in car is swaped 2.8

Motor have vanos on inlet camshaft.

First you should get the correct software for the engine... B28 engien = B28 Software not B20.
8000rpm to much and absolutly nonsens... max power at ~ 5300rpm...

as Lambda1 said , update your ECU with 2.8 software then ask for mods .

use 1429954 ZUSB in WinKFP to flash fresh flash into your ECU

Ah mate you got me... wasnt contentrated... its ms40 not ms41 so bad for you because there isnt b28 variante there.
you need remap hole ecu or change to ms41.0 from b28. good fact for you ... use 1492861 and got a flashable ecu, you dont need read and write eprom with programmer.
Change of ecu and wiring is easy.

I probably have 2.5sw but change ecu is not acceptable for me now (its not my car)

There was no 2.8 engine in m50 with Ms40 ecu so you need to swap ecu

i bet its not working good , different maps , its M50 ECU . I can sell you an modified MS41 ECU for 2.8 engine if you want , got spare one for my E36. But ! only one person for Pops and Bangs here is Lambda1 , no one else i think will help you with achieving pops in MS40 i think - if its even possible

It is possible also in ms40, ms40.1 and the older bosch ecus up to M1.1 ... but I dont want do it if there isnt a logged and tested MS40 B28 file. Because I know with b20 file engine wouldnt run well.
Its possible to do but its much work (I know because i do ~10 years ago). So do it, sent file and I will assist you with pop and bang ...
You need some other sensors to run MS40 ecu in M52 engine... and a lot of remap.
Prefered: As i told you MS41 + harness with Original M52 Sensors is easiest and best way.
Spare ecu are mostly cheap... even flash onces and than I will do your mods for you (Hardcut, Pop and Bullshit, even higher rev limiter or tunes :) (real tunes not one of the 99% shits out there)).
Believe in me, faster, cheaper and more comfortable way to do.

And by the way... 2.5sw isnt possible. For least original 2.5 software.
This ecu only were present in M50B20TU engines.

What is need to replace ms40.1 for ms41 ecu?

well you need ms41 ecu , m52 engine wiring harness (depends on if its manual or automatic gb) and... thats it , sensors and connectors should be in engine and in m52 engine wiring harness ;)

This is what im not want to hear it :D

I have problem with flash, after 14-15 writes dead. In our country i can buy it, so i remake to plcc32 one:triumphant: and car runs again with ms40
