Hi all members from DK.

I want to start new discussion regarding this new tool what need to came out from Xhorse " VVDI Key Tool Plus Pad ", from some years are in discussion to take out in the market this new tool, but until now not in the market, I hope to get out more soon to see what can do this tool.

I know are only in testing for the moment and see some information's in some blogs.

Some of standard functions

1: Support transponder copying/clone
2: Identify almost transponder in market
3: Support re-programming almost transponder in market
4: New remote re-generating / new remote making


If someone Know more information regarding this interesting tool can writhe here.

What can do more in + like another tools, new funtions, ... ?

When will be released if some one know or have some correct information's ?

Will have or include also functions from tools like IM608, Lonsdor 518, Obdstar, Xtool, VVDI2, AVDI, ..... ?

Will support also diagnostic tool like Autel IM608, .... ?

I know will support VVDI2 functions if will buy it with activation what you want or what you need for him.

For users what have now VVDI2 will have possibility to transfer in future functions activation's from VVDI2 to this tool pad, in this case the old hardware VVDI2 will be unless and will not worked in future if will be done the transfer of functions to pad tool.

Flooded Market of Chinese tablets and last thing we want is another.

Xhorse products r excellent, but have nack of re-selling same features -

How about -
* FSB4 ?? Mercedes 2014+ coverage
* Better VAG/ token support nothing touched my 2016 Caddy today
* Better BMW support see 1 user was left with buggered up car

Bet we get another IM608 with Xhorsse sticker ....and thread saying "going to be top programmer" :)

Yes is the same functions from another tools add in one single tool, the problem is to work correct all functions in one tool, is hard to make all in one tool, need more time for develop and for test it.

I think will add existing functions from all tools used now from Xhorse, like VVDI2 full, VVDI key tool, VVDI prog, VVDI key Max, in future I think will add more functions from another tools like AVDI, FVDI, SVCI, IM608, LONSDOR, TmPro2, Tango,Xtool, Obdstar, and another tools .... and will be in one brand made it by Xhorse, I am curios if will add or generate some new functions what not exist in another tool until now, to be some new news from Xhorse.

hello everyone, any news about the testing of the tool? does it really do what it promises?

I've had a play with one.
So far it does not do anything that other stand alone Xhorse tools can do.
It's like all of their tools rolled into one, but not as good as having the stand alone tools.
The programmer is not as powerful as VVDIprog for example, it does not have as many options or have the ability to read the same processors easily.
For example, it askes you to cut tracks when reading CAS4 where as VVDI prog reads without cutting tracks.

You can't do VW all keys lost at the moment using this tool if you are outside China because you can't buy the tokens to process the data without WeChat, an app which is restricted to Chinese citizens only.

On a plus side, the tool is very well built with plenty of potential.
It doesn't have a USB port which is a pain when it comes to transferring data to and from it.

Log into a website half a world away so you can upload data from a computer to a tablet sitting next to each other.
You know what's easier than that? Copying the data onto a USB and plugging it into the tablet and copying it to the tablet.

I bought a USB-C to USB adapter and tried to do it that way but the tablet won't recognize the USB.
This means the tablet was designed to try and force users to route all the data through the website.

What was so good about the Xhorse tools so far it that it let users do what they wanted, this is a step in the wrong directing I feel.

After reading XHorse official statement I would stick with stand alone tools which will be supported well into the future and are geared more towards the pro end of things. The pad is geared towards being a general all rounder.

Ok, here is a bit of an issue I have told support about but they have done nothing about.
If you have to type anything into the data fields, there is no way to tab to the next field or hide the keyboard!


You can't install any other keyboards because it wont let you.

Xhorse support on Skype have not answered any questions or addressed any issues for weeks.

It's honestly hard to recommend this tool at the moment which is a shame.

Most customers want a remote key and that can't be done unless you have an online Vida account.
Most twist can be done by dump but the juice is not really worth the squeeze.

From what I understand, all barcoded remotes still have to have a software upload/download to program.
Meaning that the module is wiped and then re-flashed online using software downloaded from the Volvo servers containing the new software.

Check the MB IR reading at once.
Found this new released video, of a person reporting that the IR reader/reading does not work.

So I guess its smart to keep the old VVDI stuff also.
Not selling, because a new and fancy tool has arrived.

And now this bloke, need to send the new tool back. Hopefully not all the way to China.
Its not a pleasant thing to do, when waiting like a child for the new tools to arrive.
And get this rather boring surprise.

It's been a while since the release of this team ... and I would like to know what you think TODAY about the IMPORTANT differences (such as the possibility of editing the configuration value in an inmodata of the VAG group or the ID of keys, etc) What is there between having the Key Tool Plus or having the VVDI2 Full + VVDI MB + VVDIPROG equipment separately.
And above all ... VVDI2 Full + VVDI MB + VVDIPROG are they going to stop releasing updates or adapters for these teams? are they going to be put aside so that everyone can buy the Key Tool Plus since there are new things that they won't be able to do if they don't have this Key tool plus?

I try to use it every day

I like:
Very fast and convenient hardware. It does system operation in seconds - I love it.
Built in the Mercedes keys and chip reader is spot on. If you are doing any operation, you don’t need drag any usb, obd or extra interface like a spider web.
It has vizard mode for MB keys if someone like.
Battery holds for ages and being charge quickly via OBD.

Not sure:
Lots functions missing from other VVDI devices eg: MB - mileage calibration, VVDI2 – bcm2 or ecu calculator missing, VVDI prog – lots missing.
Updates not very often and not relevant eg: update condor or key tool database which is not very important for me.
Not a lot immo updates so lots, lots cars is missing and no hope will be done soon. Ordinary Reno or opal you wont be able to programme many. Shame still need to use something else for it.
You can’t create new folder when saving file from programmer and after is difficult to find it. This doing saving where it wants. This is very inconvenient as I have to always spent too much time on the file explorer - rename and search for it.
Don’t really understand why do I need Condor of Key tool on it. User should be able to delate it. It is to huge to generate chip or remote and not doing any better than little devices.
It looks like does not support usb pendrive.
BMW still lack of ISN function, still many CAS3 not supported. Unable to restore downgraded flashes, no programming or coding or basic diagnostic – 100 years behind competitors.
FEM – very inconvenient operation on the service eeprom. You need to disolder and solder to special adapter – so I don’t like it.
MB everything the same – recently server issues for the calculation but I think it is for everyone.
It has MB W163 remote programming added but not the chip.

Please note. Im not any tester or expert of it. This is ordinary user so if any doubts please check with the support.

In my opinion you can’t use it instead of all xhorse devices but I like it and wish it going to be best thing in the entire world.

I agree! I too would like to have everything double ...
but if you have to decide an option between the key tool plus and the vvdi 3 tool kit ... that's the question that many ask themselves ... and why?
I understand that the 3 individual tools are more complete and professional than the key tool plus. But will these tools continue to be updated? they also say that individual tools give problems with an internal battery, did one happen to you?
For now I have vvdiprog and it is a tool that I recommend 100%

I have the three tools and until they are made redundant by xhorse because of no updates they will remain my primary kit. I won't buy the tablet until it has a proven track record and support and updates are a certainty.
