Golf V - Disable immo in dash

Hello,

I made a dump with Carprog 8.21 from the 24C32 eeprom, how can i remove or disable the immo in it?

you can't do immo off in dashboard, you do it in ECU

If you want to do immo off, u must do it in ecu, if you want to remove message "immo active" after immo of in ecu, I can do it for you, but I need immodata from dash.

Yes, i know that, but i just want to remove the Safe message, and the key symbol from the dash.

That's exactly what i want, i need the instrument cluster for a similar project (https://hackaday.io/project/6288-can-bus-gaming-simulator) (Video example (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iniyGKYgp0w)), but the immo thing is just annoying, and if i recall correctly, when immo is active, the speedo or the rpm gauge doesn't work.

So, i have VCDS and Carprog, tried to do this method (http://www.codecard.eu/carprog/software/dashboard/s7-8-repair-by-obdii-for-2007-vw-golf-passat-eos-touran-tiguan-octavia-with-micronas/prod_433.html):
1. Remove dashboard from car and read it's eeprom 24C32 manualy (using carprog eeprom software and A6 adapter)
2. Save this eeprom dump to have backup
3. Fill eeprom dump : - range 0x812 - 0x9BF in hex editor with FF FF ..
4. Write this damaged dump to eeprom (using carprog eeprom software and A6 adapter)
5. Put dashboard back to car and connect via DIAG now
6. Load your saved backup (original eeprom) and press write
7. After write compleate you can read PIN repair km etc..

But i don't understand step 5. and 6., i tried to flash the original eeprom back via OBD2 adapter with Carprog, but it doesn't connect, eeprom read/write just doesnt work, Change mileage and read/write immo also doesn't work, just the Error Code Reading.

What i doing wrong, or how can i get the immodata from the dash for you?

Edit: I don't have the whole car, just the instrument cluster.

This instrument cluster is never gonna be in a car, and never gonna connect to an ECU, it's gonna connect to an arduino with can bus shield. I link you an another video example. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-UMmGy8lhIo)

But someone had a similar problem:
"I have disabled immo in ECU on a 2004 Golf MK5 2.0TDI and the car starts fine. However, I have not managed to remove the flashing symbol and warning "immobilizer active" in dashboard. Can someone assist me in removing this?"
and got a solution:
"Changing the data where you pointed out from F1 to 00 solved the issue."

So it's not impossible to do, but i can't ask or download attachments there, so i can't figure it out.

I know its an old topic, but still, if somebody is googling trynna find a solution, just like me yesterday.

Basically just do the immo off in ECU by setting 0x59 and 0x79 to 02 and calculate checksum at 0x5F and 0x7F.

About the dash message "immobiliser active" + immo light flashing + just read the immo data with any appropriate tool, once you have the immo data (length of 0x85), just edit the config part of it (starting at 0x48), you worry only about the first byte (0x48). Set it to 0x00 instead of 0xF1, and you should be all set!

In my case (Jetta V 2005 1.6FSi) it solved the problem right away, no immo light flashing and no immobiliser active warning on dash.

Hi. Can you look at my file. I cant find the immo data. When I fill FF at 0x812 - 0x9BF no immolight but esp light appeared.
