Hi! There have recently been a few discussions mentioning linuxsat.co.uk. This company appear to despatch from Huddersfield, and so I assume that a warranty return could also therefore be dealt with in the UK rather than in China. Does anyone have any personal experience of this company - good or bad? Thanks.

I've had a few receivers from them now & delivery & responses to questions has been quick. Regardless of what your told, warranty issues have to be resolved by the seller, in the case of places like Asda/Argos etc, it may be quicker to deal with the manufacturer directly (dedicated help line - free collection delivery etc). However should you require it the onus is on the seller to resolve warranty issues, that's UK consumer law.

Hi I just bought a DM800 remote from them 23-03-10. Everything went smoothly. I am from South Africa. I am just worried that when I checked their website at 19h02 South African time (GMT +2).
There was a message on their site saying this site has been suspended.
Should I worry or will I receive my goods?
Thanks

I hope I don't come across as being the type who is out solely to disparage a company's reputation, but you did ask for experiences, and I'm sad to say that mine was not so positive as many of the other members here.
I purchased a DM600, but received DOA. I wanted to send it back for replacement or refund, but the guy got very uppity with me when I suggested that he should pay for return postage. I ended up quoting various parts of the distance selling regulations, but some of the contact I received via E-mail was less than the professional standard I would expect from a trustworthy retailer, verging on being rude.
The end result was that I got a full refund along with my return postage paid, but if I hadn't fought my corner then I would have been out of pocket, so I would find it difficult to recommend LinuxSat.

Quite the opposite for me.
My DM800S died after a week.
Sent it back and had a replacement arrive within 24 hours of him receiving the original back.
There was a problem with the sim in the replacement, he immedietly posted a 2nd replacement trusting fully that I would return the 2nd box. He could not apologise enough for the problem.
OK, you hope you will be hassle free but a measure of true customer service is how they react to any problems. In my opinion he was excellent and I would not hesitate in recommending Linuxsat.
