HELLO I HAVE A PASSAT 2014 ADDBLU PROBLEM
DOES ANYONE CAN HELP ME WITH ADDBLU OFF
CAN I USE KESS FOR WRITING THROUGHT OBD VIRTUAL FILE?

With Ironballs you can flash everything with kess clone :D

KESS 5.017 clone write VR file for EDC17C54. Tested.

does it is more safe to make backup read tc internal flash edit after that write with it?

KESS 5.017 clone write VR file for EDC17C54. Tested.

And where do you get the VR to write it with kess clone?

Every1 I asked about writing a VR file with Kess obd said It's risky, it is 50/50, It can work or maybe not and you will damage the ECU, If you have ktag, open the ecu, read opened and write your modded file back.

does the ktag v7.020 red pcb can read and write cpu corectly and correct crc during writing mode
does this ecu have TC boot password protection?

kess clone with sw 2.47 write VR file without problem good batter suply but risk because is clone tool
ktag read and write and make checksum and safe and if it clone tool

Me too. I read and write EDC17C54-3.39 type CKUB from Crafter 2017 2.0 TDI 163ph ( Chip TC1797 ). Hardware Kess Clone RED board (2016.10.23) FW version 5.017 in Tricore mode with Tricore Module "14P600BTLR" china board 2017.6.21 ver. + Cable "14P600KT02" like the info in Kess.Direct Connected with boot soldering. Software Kess 2.25 with Protocol 420 get error till 63% , but with P269 for EDC17C46 work without problem. Was without passwort protection. Power supply PS-3010DF not the best but work. I do it on 13,6V.
