Hello , i tried from morning to read an sid208 ecu fitted on a 2014 2.2 defender.
Original slave ktag keeps saying MICRO PROTECTION REMOVAL FAILED
Any ideas please ?

This is a strange one as i use master ktag on these with no problems and a couple of my customers read these with clone ktag with no problems have you connected it all up correctly?

this happens because someone already touched this central and exchanged the file of the computer for another one, then the device cannot disable the TPROT, I recorded a video on youtube about it

try to read with other protocols, I found the solution for edc17c54
But for sid208 we haven't found it yet and I'm sure no other device will be able to read it as sid208 NONE !!
JA tried autotuner, Transdata, ktag, cmd .... ktm me and several friends are trying to figure out what to do

Don't waste your time, I already did it for you ...
for now the only solution for this is to change the ~~~~ing microprocessor or new ECU ...
If you find any other solution tell us

Thank you guys, i will try one time with vci and thats it .I will let you know.
And yes one did remap before me and still there is dpf fault but mainly car turns over with first attempt but it always start on second attempt.
