BMW E32 Transmission zf5hp30

Hello Guys.I need some help on this.We have this bmw e32 740 with a transmission problem.It is in pristine condition.If you drive normally it changes over fine but as soon as you kickdown,it goes into limp mode.Our diag machine does not have transmission diagnostic capabilities so no error codes,does anybody else have any experience on this or a quick fix.

Electromech .HA HA HA.Did not get a chance today to get to the vehicle will get you the DETAILS tomorrow.Meat-Head I will try what you suggest tomorrow as well(If you b**t it from a standing start does it change up through the gears?) I had to contact my college professor to decode that

really difficult with no DTC but lets give it a go have you done a service to the box at all? I do however think that the box clutch is slipping so basically there is a box input speed sensor and a output speed sensor if the ecu picks up that oil pressure is xxxxxxx and selected gear is xxxxxxx the output speed must be xxxxxxx (get the point) thus the ecm knows what to expect if this not met the default comes in 4th gear if memory serves.then the possibility of the gearbox ecu getting faulty reading from throttle pod the list can go on M8 get us some dtcs then we can pin point problem!

Electromech.I am using the bosch kts for diagnostics.It does not have the transmission software for the e32.I will try and get a friend to scan it.Thanks for your input.
