The emulator only needs 3 wires.
So plug it in, and if these is a led, have a look at it. It should react.
You can read the eis, and check dtc, without turning key.
Just wake up the car. alarm light on for a few seconds or open and close door.
Does your remote still work?
Did you try all the keys?
Is the key damaged, a component loose?

If you only have one key, to this car.
It might be the key, which has a failure.
But if tested 2 keys, the are probably OK.

I have only one key but locksmith checked the key and its 100% ok. Remote opening/closing works.
Maybe I plugged emulator wrong cause there were 4 pins (wrong connection?) but LED was flasing green - nothing happened it have not unlocked.

Ok i found the way to plug in emulator correctly. LED shows me that's signal od ok. When I put key on it changes color. Still can't turn key. Is it lock fail?

I would try to make an extra key.
Before doing anything else.
Its the cheapest solution.
And its always good to have a spare key.
Its not so usual, that these fail on the ELV.
And even on the EIS.

One more thing.
If everything is back as original.
Leave the key in the ignition for several minutes.
And remove.
And place it in the ignition again. (Do this procedure several times).
Maybe it start working again.
(Its normal, when making keys on the 2005-2008 models of W211 and W209). (After reading the key with IR, in the programmer).
Need to say NO, when programmer ask for is the ELV open?
Test one more time, in the ignition and wait. And eventually it will release the ELV. Then say YES, in the software.
It happen almost every time, you make a key for these. At least 50-60% of the cases.

Key is 100% ok, also I tried the trick with puting in and pulling out. Few minutes ago I disassembled ignition switch and look closely at the photo. There is something wrong with pinouts for this blue plug (i dont know for what this blue plug is responsible)

Everything is fine, someone just made the key in front of you. Or maybe let's start from the beginning, is your car used and it suddenly stopped working? I would also consider adding a new key

Yeah, car suddenly stopped working. Few days ago I came and just couldnt turn key in the igniton. I checked battery, fuses and all the simple stuff. Day later I gave key to locksmith and he checked it. Day after that I got emulator and I plugged it in (when I put key into ignition emulator blinks that it has signal) - still coulnd't turn the key. Today I disassembled ignition and I posted a photo here (u can see some brown places - like fried).
Thanks for reply :)

What tools do you have for this job?
If the EIS is faulty You need VVDI prog or simmilar programmer to read the old EIS (if is readable) and write on the new
If the key is faulty you need MB key programmer like VVDI MB Poldiag Autel IM or similar
Every one of these tools cost more than the car so its better to pay on someone that have these tools and know what to use them

These dark spots are soldering flux, not burn-in stains. Like I said, someone was already making a key

Is this your private car?
Or you do this as a job, for the owner?
If its your car, I believe you should know what happen.
But if this is someone else's car.
It might have been a faulty key programming issue.
(Saying YES, when asking if EVL has released or not). (When EVL has NOT released).
I have read earlier, that someone here on this forum using CGDI tool. By doing so.
Got into big trouble, and had to work with the dump.
By other members here.
To get the car started again.

To be exact its my fathers car so im just trying to help him as I can.
It's pretty possible that key is already made by someone else before but it was working fine for over 3 years.
Can you tell me if there is any option to unlock the ignitio and get car to work (even bypass ELS)?
Only progs I have is carprog / kess / ktag / star diagnostics

I must ask one more simple thing.
Did you try to remove the + PLUS, cable on the battery.
And place it back ? If not, try this first.
I experience this solves the problems on the W639 models from 2003-about 2008.
I think I remember the 2009 model has different EIS, which makes less trouble.
On these models, the EIS fail quite often.
Key will not turn in the lock.
By removing the battery +PLUS, and place it back.
The EIS is "reset".
Then you turn the ignition, at once without any problems. And car starts.
Or else go to the Locksmith.
And ask if the person, can make a reading of the EIS.
If the reading is OK.
And all keys are visible.
Its possible to write, the info to a spare ignition lock.
With the right equipment.
So the locksmith can make an extra key.
And also write the info into a different ignition lock. (Find exactly the same part number, to avoid any extra trouble)
Then you know the key is OK, which is brand new. And also the EIS.
And if you got either the ELV, or emulator in good working order.
You will sort it out.

That's weird. I removed only -MINUS from battery.
How do I read EIS? Can i do it with kess/ktag/star/carprog?
I know i can get it to specialist but i think its good case to learn some on my own (my dad has other can to drive) :) i like new stuff. Thanks for help btw

With all due respect, but what if you have all these tools if you can't use them ... On the forum you have a lot of topics, how to read, just use search. Get x-prog, read EIS, give dump, and I'll calculate the keys. Will you have what to program them? Even if you buy them, I assume that you will spend a lot of money that will not return ...
