How to clear airbag crash data from dump?

Hi all,

Apart from posting the BIN file up here for the good folks on here to clear the crash data, is there anyway I can clear the crash data myself?

Is it as simple as opening tachosoft airbag resetter, inputting the BIN file and flashing the file that comes out the other end or is some HEX editing involved?

Please help as I am trying to learn about airbag systems and clearing crash data

There are both, tachosoft airbag makes an automatic HEX editing for the known models.

On modern airbags used by a lot of makes you can clear the crash data with the dealer scanner (or equivalent after-market scanner( for a maximum of 3 times, no need for bin files, reflashing etc.

Does this still mean therefore that ultimately, if it comes down to it, the airbag data can be cleared via dump/edit/reflash method? (i.e. as a 'fits all' method?)
