Hex v2

Ive recently bought a 2018 skoda octavia. Im hoping to get a hex v2 to allow to to perform dealer functions and what not.

Ive had volvo vida and peugeot planet on previous cars so hoping to get the same functionality on the skoda.

Can anyone help with some good reading material about vag diagnostics, ik happy enough to get a clone but they range from £20-£70 offering different chipsets so not sure on best to get.

Also is there any dealer repair guides available anywhere for my skoda?

For the 2018, avoid clones with ATMEGA chipset, it won't work. Chipset needs to be an STM32 controller. For the time being, look for one with VCDS 22.10 as its the last known version to work with security access. Newer 23.3 version does all the usual stuff, but anything requiring security access to modules won't work.

As far as I know ATMEGA 162 chipset doesn't work on newer vehicles (beyond 2017). Chipset must be STM32 e.g. STM32F405.
What is the difference between STM32 F405 and F429 chpsets?

vcds hex-v1 and fake vcds hex-v2 with ATMEGA162 just can do 1996-2015 old cars.

Update freely VCDS Hex-V2 with main chip STM32F405VGT6 or STM427 or STM429 and VIIPLusLoader. full version, update freely. most stable. please check VIIPLusLoader

I have bought the hex-v2 atmega but i have not able to put to work as i can not run the software try whit varius versions off vcds whit kolimer loader but the software refuses to run i have disable the windows defender i do not have anti virus , im runinig windows 7 pro 32bit , i have made update to windows 10 32bit , still no luck and heven try whit a fresh install of windows 10 64bit version and still no luck but iff i try in onther laptop it runs ok , maybe the laptop hardware not able to run the software ??? .

The problem is not the cable , its the software that can not run it shows the logo kolimer but afther a few seconds it desapear and dont load the software .
