    Default Bosch ME7.3.6 bricked

    Hello guys, i read/write this ECU successfuly every time with my kt200. But now, writing 88% and error... now no ecu ID, no reading and no writing via bench with my KT200.
    "error wake"

    Kess say "error while reading SW number" so flash is empty.

    Anyone have experience how to recover this ECU?
    Tools: kess, ktag, mpps, kt200

    This is Bosch ME7.6.3 It is a hybrid ecu and very little chance of recovery, It is now stuck in boot loop. You can try to recover in boot mode with KT200 but most likely replacement ecu time

    ordered new ECU, coming tomorrow... but how to clone this ECU? i dont have eeprom from old ECU, only flash... will i have immo problems? cant immo off?

    but how to place new ECU in car? i have flash only, not eeprom... cant read id. will i have immo problems? how to solve that

    This is for ME7.3.1 boot but could be ok for 7.3.6 too.
    1. Disconnect connector A from ECU
    2. Deattach plastic cover from connector
    3. Mark that on the position 20 is empty hole
    4. Put a wire in that hole, it is recommended to use a wire with cable terminal like other wires in the connector
    5. Connect that wire to GND while programming
    6. Done

    If in boot loop, no chance to revive it. Boot records have been deleted. So you have a metronome in a continuous reboot loop. Also, no SPS can be made if the boot part is deleted. You can try to boot it on pcb if you can, but i am not sure will be a success. Good luck.

    thanks to everybody guys... kess recovery dont work, boot mode dont work, bench dont work. I really think it is dead. I will try more solutions but first i must to get car running. I ordered used, tested ECU for this car and z16ler engine,HW is same but SW is diffrent... can i write flash from old ecu to new ecu?

    open the ecu to do boot and make it with fgtech or kt200, try it, maybe you can save it

    i tried boot mode with kt200, but nothing. i will try more but first i must to get car working with new ecu because friend going on trip tonight with his car... i got pin code from CIM but only thing i am worried is that SW number - can i write old flash with diffrent SW to new ecu (ecu for same car, same engine code, same HW but diffrent SW)?

    UPDATE: with kt200 full system AGAIN problems when write mod file (ori file ok, mod file brick). Before boot, use BREAKOUT CABLE + KESS and try recovery! That recovered this ECU for me... also, every time when you work this ecu read it with kess to have kess read.

    yes, 7.6.3, my bad

    not checksum problem i think, because i wrote multiple mod files without cs (tool do checksum) and it was ok. Mod file problem, idk what excatly
