anyone can post a video when insert a CD to unlock?

today i re-try to burn a dvd...
DVD DL verbatim, maps V7, clone dvd2, pioneer 110D 1x speed...
insert dvd... MFD2 say "DVD not correct"
where I mistake???

Anyone knows if this firmware works on the MFD2 CD version also.

Do you have any luck with unlock CD? may be your system is lock.
What software version do you have on MFD2?

No luck here.
Also tried on a verbatin 8x dvd+r dl at 2.4x
Upgrade to sw3.0 and unlock worked fine!

I am using a Lite-On LH-20A1S and Nero / Alcohol 120%

What am i doing wrong?

MFD2 Version B works!
I tested today. firmware, unlock and map v7

i've update the firmware succesfull at V30

insert an unlock cd...
but the map dvd return me error "dvd not compatible"
I try with alchol120%
kb3 (linux)
nero burning 7
and now I'm waiting to the clone cd finish the last one...
every time at the max slow speed possible...

yesssss , you are great , firmware upgrade => unlock => map V7 on MFD2 B and..... works fine !!!

Maps : Verbatim DVD-R DL imageburn at 2x
Unlock : Verbatim azo cd-r imageburn at 1x
Firmware : Verbatim azo cd-r imageburn at 1x

When insert unlock CD in MFD, what is happen?, do you see a yellow progress bar very quickly?
and if you keep this cd in unit it's endless loop... with this ?
try to switch off the MFD after unlock and again on?

Yes unlock seems to work fine, yellow progress bars very quickly in a endless loop.

Switching on and off the MFD does not matter.

I have been reading a german forum, seems al lot of users have good results with a LG burner...

I tried a Lite-on, samsung and a sony with no succes. Al runs on low speed (2.4x) and a verbatin dvd+r dl with different burning tools (Nero, Alcohol, CloneCD and ImgBurn).

Have read this post. Am trying to update my MFD2 as well. It is now still original with 2005 maps.

Well if I need some help I'll be asking for it.

Thanks to all of you and especially the guy who started it all. I managed to burn successfully the v7 map with clonecd 2.4x on a verbatim dvd+dl. However I would like to ask if anyone knows whether maps could be modified to be used with the MFD2. More specifically I need a map of Bulgaria to be used with the MFD2. This information will probably also be interesting to people from serbia, croatia, romania and so on who own the MFD2 navigation but do not benefit from using the comlete map services in their countires. Thank you in advance!
