Check carefully what it says to connect. You cannot connect a large number of VW controllers on the table because they require a different CAN. You need to connect through the gateway. My friend has this device and so far he only has problems with the drivers on the protected Renesas and Motorola systems.

Obdstar p50 doesn't always do what it says it can. I can't say it doesn't work. It works but has issues. They don't care to rectify the list of what it can do. Even when you point it out to them

I think the options for clear crash by obd are good, i don't really test the clear files where you have to read/write eeprom or mcu.

I bought this tool couple years ago because it claimed it could do new range rover tc23 locked mcu, but infact it couldn't do them.

I use it now and again, its a good tool but there are many better options out there for sure

CPT hardware tools are very weak, always with problems, and talking about read new modules with locked processors the CPT team are very lazy too, better is Carprog

    Hi
Does carprog reads and lets you save the files from can lines? Or is just like p50 most of the time you can't save your original file
