    IFA V3 is in English

    https://www.ssl-id.de/hallenberg.com...ent=downloads&

Although the writing is in German you have the multi language option during install.

    Hey driniking_eyez,

You need a serial cable and a cross over cable.

All the guides you need are in the downloads section:
Digital Kaos - Downloads - Guides

Better still, try IFA 3.1 Portable, thanks to our good fiend Renwich. All in English- and the first IFA I've ever tried where you DON'T need a null-modem cable.

It's a standalone, too- will work from a USB Stick drive! Works great for me, even when AVG 8 is active.

    Cheers- AL

    hi gizmo
thanks .... ya i've managed to download the guide ... but I still cant flash the box after going thru' the guide ...
This is what I'm trying to to ....
I've connected the dbox with rj45 (network cable) and connected one end of a null modem cable to dbox and the other end to a 'RS232 to USB' cable and connected the USB end of the 'RS232 to USB' to the PC and I've disabled all the firewalls.
I executed IFA 3.2.1 and it asked for the image which I selected (Commando_10cR_x2_20-12-2008_20h07.img) then selected the network card and on Step 3 where it asks whether you have a 'Null mobem cable' I clicked 'Yes' and for the port it only gives me com port 1 on the dropdown. so I selected that ... finally I clicked start button and all it says is 'waiting for Dbox to start' ... I've already started dbox but its not doing anything ... i've left for about 10 mins and its not doing anything ...
Ohh by the way I had an old image on the box already ... do I need to remove that Image from the box before I install the new image ??
hope you guys can help me ... I'm a complete newbie and I've never flashed a box before. so pls pls help me.

You have done everything correctly you are not too far away from flashing the new image.

once all the cables connected start IFA and do exactly what you said above then connect the power cable to Dbox and you will see that image flashing lines on your PC or Laptop monitor.
    Good Luck.
If you like my post pleas click on the little button to say thank you.
