    Hi,

I recently had this issue, and even after a full fresh install of windows and techline connect the error still occured after the first launch.

What i figured out is the earlier version of tlc (prior to the sps3 update) actually had alot of other stuff that would install with it that the new installer does not include.

For me the missing piece of the puzzle was a program called TLCjava, which seems to be tlcs own version of java. I was able to find a copy of this stored in the data backups on a computer that had the earlier tlc installed still.

Its worth noting prior to finding this I had tried installing the latest java 8 runtime and that caused tlc to crash as soon as it opened.

I do have a copy of the program I can share with you to try if you are still having issues.

I know this is a tad old, but another option is to make sure you remove everything gm related from add/remove programs. Gds2, TLC, TLC Java, techline connect, etc. delete any folders in program files, program files (x86), and programdata and then start a fresh install with a newly downloaded techline exe, and make sure you click run as admin.

It should reinstall everything and you'll be good

Definitely more time consuming than the previous reply, but if you can't figure out what's missing this will work
