2002 seat leon dash stays on

Hi all. Have a Seat leon 2002 petrol model which the dash lights stay on when you turn the key off. Anything obvious or common to check?

But when you pull the key out, it is the same? I think you could verify first the contact key.

Hi. yes even with the key out some of the dash lights stay on. Engine turns off though.

Check the key contacts or sometimes there is some trouble with the radio, disconnect and see if dash goes out then.

ignition terminals, common fault

Ive checked the ignition terminals. There fine. Pulled out all the relays behind the drivers side panel one at a time and still the same. havent checked the radio.

I had similiar problem on 2003 skoda fabia, the cluster was the problem. Possibly is on yours.

On diagnostics talk to the cluster and see if its recognising ignition on and off m8. If it is it sounds like the cluster m8.

A1 black violet ignition.
A23 Red violet Battery
A30 yellow red ignition.
A20 grey blue sidelight input.


might also be worth checking the earths m8, there brown in colour hope this helps m8
