Bmw 2011 e92 update.

I'm new to bmws and all their bits.
I want to update my maps, I have got the latest maps for the motion, I need the code when I put the USB in the glove box.
I have tried to get the 1b hex numerous times with various usb stick, sizes and speeds. Nothing gets written to it.

I have now purchased a enet cable but that is where I have stumbled. I've installed e sys, but have since discovered that is for f bmws not e.
I've read various guides but can't seem to work out what I need.

I have tried the calc from vin number to but that code was incorrect.
Any help appreciated
