    Hi,

I could also do with someone disabling the immo if possible?

I'm new to all this so any help if much appreciated.

Yea, I've only started looking into ecu coding again recently and I'm only going to be doing it on my own car so there's not a lot I can offer to the forum to be honest.

Just completed an engine swap on a VW Caddy and need to test a different ecu.

The file attached should contain eeprom and maps.

Is there a list of hex addresses and what they relate to?

I can find blocks of info and maps but just need to know which block contains the ecu pin code.

Thanks for trying but it gives the same error. "File is damaged"

I've compared the files and there's not much changed apart from these so not sure why it wont accept it

I've read that if you enter the engine security number into vcds it will temporarily disable the immobiliser for a one time start.

If that's the case if you could tell me where to find the security number I could give it a test.

I just need to try a base ecu on my van to eliminate an ecu issues from my investigations so that would be a quick fix.

Thanks for looking into this :-)

Thanks again but still the same error, the security code worked but didn't do the immobilser disable (didnt really think it would work)

After a lot of reading and help from you, this is the closest I've got to doing a write so it could be worse haha.

It just makes no sense to me why it will write my original file but not the others
