    Default Fiat Doblo 1.3 Multijet no power [SOLVED]

    Hello!

    I have Fiat Doblo make year 2006 with 1.3 Multijet engine. The engine has very little power (like it wouldn't have turbocharger) below 3.000 rpm and above that runs normal. Diagnostics does not show any fault code ... the car has only 30.000 km (real km - was bought new). What could be wrong? I had similar problem on Stilo 1.9 JTD where faulty EGR was the problem ... what else could be bad - MAF maybe? Thanks!

    Hi

    Scope the air mass meter, check for vacuum pipes disconected damaged, turbo actuator working?

    Also do a injector leak back test.
    Whatever seems impossible is just not yet important enough.

    I had a similar problem, lack of power no error in ECU, all seemingly correct values (only low-pressure turbo and MAF low value), the problem was a clogged intakes due to the soot released by the EGR valve oil vapors ( the owner of the car was going very slowly).

    Guys, thanks for now. All values seem to be fine except the turbo pressure in lower rpms is very low, then kicks up from 3,000 rpm. I thought the pneumatic actuator on turbocharger is jamming so I dismantled it, but it works perfect. I then ordered new electric actuator (valve) for turbocharger and fitted it yesterday. Even worse, the car is dead now until 3,500 rpm. Today I received new EGR valve and I'm gonna try to change it tomorrow. Will report.

    Hello guys! I am still having problem with this vehicle - in fact - it is getting worse. The car does not go over 3,800 rpm anymore.

    Here's what I've done so far:

    - injector leak test (OK)
    - new electropneumatic valve regulator for turbocharger (nothing changed)
    - new EGR valve (nothing changed)
    - cleaning of whole intake manifold (nothing changed; wasn't very dirty)
    - disconnected DPF to see if it si clogged (nothing changed)
    - disconnected catalyst to see if it is clogged (nothing changed)
    - new MAP sensor (nothing changed; the old one shows the same data as new one - up to 1,5 bar boost pressure)

    Yesterday I was playing with Texa Axone 2000 diagnostics (instead of Actia Multi-Diag) and I noticed something strange. Texa shows me reference value and actual value for MAF sensor. While reference value goes up to 900, the actual values goes only to about 350. Is it possible that the MAF is broken and the engine does not go over 3,800 rpm - even when stationary? I've never had a case like that, broken MAF always reacted in loss of power, not loss of rpm.

    Scope the maf sensor. Pico has software that explain how to use it and what values to expect.

    On Mercs a brake light bulb faulty can cause a similar problem..Not sure about Fiats, never had too many around. Throtle potentiometer? Do you know the history of the vehicle? how the fault occured?

    guada bene la waste gate del turbo rimane un po aperta e non entra subito il pressione a me ne sono capitate diverse

    Or look to the vacuum pipes, sometimes if they are not correctly fitted and this causes a leak of power, check all the vacuum pipes and then if the pipe who comes out from the inter cooler get flatten when you accelerate. If so check the air system plus the turbo if the helical gear rotates or not.

    check this 2 things



    1. Air Flow Meter

    try it from a nother car or test ist with the original examiner, you can see it in the paramaters its possible that no error code are safed in the ecu i had also this problem with a more than 1 car with the same charakteristik as yours car. u can also test it with a Voltmeter the Signal Volage must go up to 4.5 - 5 V under full load wehn u drive the car.


    2. Pressure regulare Valve ( i know only the german name its DRV Druck regulier Ventil


    U i find this Valve in the end from the rail its near by the batterie it have a 3 Pin Connector take out the Air Filter and u will see it quickly. take the 2 screw out from the piece out and check the 2 sealing rings wehn one is damget u have tune your ecu paramters to much and u habve now not enough Railpressure but nomally u have problem to strart the enigine wehn it is cold.

    Hello, is it the 85 PS version, which have the variable geometry turbocharger?

    If it is so, the palettes could be stuck or vacuum is missing from the actuator: when you shut off the engine, the vacuum disappears, and the palettes go in the high RPM position.
    If you start the engine, the pneumatic actuator should move the palettes in the low RPM position. If you don't see this movement, check the vacuum at idling. If no vacuum, check the vacuum circuit. If there is vacuum, try to move the rod of the actutor by hand. If it is not moving, the palettes of the turbo are stuck.

    Can you tell on which wires do I have to take measurement on MAF sensor?

    Problem solved.

    I've been informed that the car was crashed few months ago and the turbocharger was changed. The problem was that actuator piston on the turbocharger wasn't adjusted correctly, so it didn't move enough at low revs. Also the MAF sensor was faulty, so I fitted new one. The car goes like a charm now.
