    Default renault clio 1999 1,2 43kw

problems with this car sometimes immo is active and I need few times repeat lock/unlock procedure with remote, then keys are acepted and I can start the car..ecu is
HOM 7700868294 7700112787 my KTS cant find ecu to read eror codes..any of you guys know what is this unit..safir or fenix or ???? producer is magneti mareli ..i need this info so I can atack it with some tools..but first I need to establish comunication via diagnostic

    regards!

EDITED so now Iam sure it is safir 2..I find one old post from obdmaster here ..same ecu worked out with renault immo decoder..so I select safir 2 and KTS read it ..it cant be readed in automaticaly but IF you target it as safir 2 it can be readed..and of course NO EROR codes....so seems to me it wil be a lot of clicking tomorow from renault imodecoder in my workshop..

yes you are right..now when I select safir 2 it can be readed..only dont work in auto selection with kts..but wo care..but seems to me this will be yob for renault imodecoder...few hours of clicking and trouble free for rest of life

edited ... nope renault dekoder dont work in this case..I make conections like ordinary safir 2 select advance 1 or two no mater after 40 minutes all clicking stops...when ecu is in car only news is engine MIL flashes and eror code related to imo..so actualy it isnt immoof..andy ideas please

If you are not scared to open your Safire2 ECU, you can do following (tryed and proven to work on my sons CLIO 1.2 MY1998 with SAGEM Safire2 ECu 35 pin).

    1. Take ECU off the vehicle (two bolts on each side, near accu shield)
    2. Open ECU - 4 bolts on backside (torx).
    3. Remove rubber compound near 27C512 chip. (see attached image as reference, rubber compound color may vary!)
    4. Clean both 9 pins sides (again see attached image).
    5. Put Ecu BACK ON THE CAR, make key ON, motor OFF (****ing MIL lamp on dashboard must flickering like crazy),
    6. Slowly and steady make short contact between corresponding opposite pins (on 9 pin side of chip), one by one. You may hear activation of fuel pump and relay. Repeat this 9 times, one time for each pair of pins, one from top and corresponding from bottom of the chip.
    7. If you did it correctly, ****ing MIL lamp will be flash once and go off (does not lit). If it is still flickering, repeat procedure of shorting pins again.
    8. You have just reset your immo. Cut the wire on pin number 30 and immo is gone forever. (Actualy I did not cut this wire because on my sons car immo sensor was OK, I just need to reset IMMO on ECU)

Again this procedure is proven to work!

Because I see that you're from Croatia, please follow this link: elprog forum / Clio 1998
    It's on ExYU language.

immo safir is simple, where is the eprom uncover and connect the pin 22 to gnd 27c512 for 5 seconds while feeding the ecu, then remove the feeding and gnd and plug in the car.
do not forget to cut the line immo

    28f512 pin 23

    Pin 37-immo line

    sato-bmw solution works 100%
on fenix 5 ect in fact a few 28f512 chipped ecu's with tms 374

i have done safir 2 as the Renault tool clicks and is annoying
this method is far quicker and easier only snag is cutting the rubber out

but in all takes a lot less time than waiting on the Renault tool to do it
Today is the Tomorrow you worried about yesterday ......Was it worth it ?

I've done this procedure on bench, ecu safir 2 35 pin ( i dont have car , it is my test ecu0
Before : Led lamp was blinking ( immo on ) after ignition
After : after iginition Led lamp is ON but after 2 seconds light was weak , and not more blinking, voltage off led lamp go from 13 volts to 5 volts and stays at 5 volts, lamp does not go off,,,,it is now immo off or ECU is damaged ( When I pulled off rubber )I see no visible damage.
