do you simply just mean how to find out what the IMEI of your phone is?

look on the box, on the phone under the battery, or type *#06# on the phone and it sould bring it up on screen.

It's a modem and so *#06# can not be used! It has no battery to look under, no keypad and no screen!

It is usually on the body of the device, 15 digits long.

If it can not be found the use your dashboard software, it'll be under diagnostics, device info or something similar. Without know what dashboard you're using I can only be vague but you'll find it eventually!!

See, I am really new to this & I doubt it very much if I'll find it.
For a start, I don't even know what you mean when you say "dashboard"!!!

    Sorry!

Three UK use their own dashboard as do Vodafone but the principle is much the same!

ye your right mate, I don't know why I presumed it was the three network, I personally use vodafone dongle, and it is basically the same,
your dongle will automatically install the software on first use, then it's easy to get to the dashboard from there

Just to make sure you understand....

The 'dashboard' is the software the dongle installs to the PC. It can also be refered to as the 'User Interface' or just 'software'

You guys are all being really helpful but I am still stuck without IMEI number.

    The dongle is not mine.

I want to get the IMEI number by just plugging it to my pc.

Is there a way to do it that way?

Yes, just plug the dongle in and it'll install everything for you. Once you've got the IMEI you can un-install via Windows Control Panel.

Install takes around 10 minutes or so...
