Default Vauxhall vectra B.. multiple issues.

Friend brought in his vectra-B 2001 X1.8XE lump (petrol). Think its the SIR model, he bought it without any advice. 60k "genuine" steering wheel worn to buggery and engine mounts ruined. Add that to the week after it was bought various bits of cardboard fell off the dash cluster revealing may warning lights.

    Engine -

    P0170 - Lean Exhaust (present)
P1555 - TPS load signal not plausible with engine load (not present)
P0100 - Mass or volume air flow circuit low inputs (not present)

    ABS (430 module) -

C0121 - Selenoid relay circuit malfunction (Present)
C0090 - RR Exhaust solenoid valve malfunction (Not present)
C0080 - RL Exhaust solenoid valve malfunction (Not present)
C0070 - FR Exhaust solenoid valve malfunction (Not present)
C0060 - FL Exhaust solenoid valve malfunction (Not present)
C0095 - RR Inlet solenoid valve malfunction (Not present)
C0085 - RL Inlet solenoid valve malfunction (Not present)
C0075 - FR Inlet solenoid valve malfunction (Not present)
C0065 - FL Inlet solenoid valve malfunction (Not present)
C0800 - Switched battery voltage low (valve relay) (Not present)
C0232 - Brake system control light voltage high or circuit open (Not present)

Cleared all the fault codes, the C0121 came back and the ecu light stayed off on idle. I couldn't test drive the car yet but will be doing on sat to apparently the ecu light comes on after a few miles of driving. Has anybody got any guesses of where i should start first since the faults seem to indicate lambda, maf and tps?

Car seems to show signs of running rich and the idle is very poor, hunting and stumbling but not cutting out.

Im guessing the ABS ecu is toast or the abs pump itself? Can this be swapped with another without coding or do i need opcom?

    Thanks

Just make a periodical service, change fuel filter replace spark plugs and clean body throttle. After this you may start the exploration of the MIL light, I tell you this because car may have stayed in place for a long time so you never know, in mean while you earn some moneys for servicing.
    Cheers

Yep, got a set of plugs on order. Its got some sort of aftermarket air filter i dont want to mess with but i guess i can run it through the air line and clean out the TB with a bit of brake and clutch cleaner!

    Hello m8
You can change the abs with a used one without coding (if the used one has the same part number).

as far as can remember on these 1.8 16v cars the ecu is mounted on the side of inlet manifold and there are bad connections at some of the ecu pins, i cant remember if i repaired ecu or replaced it but it was also showing fault for mass air meter. i think it was earth circuit to mass air meter but its a good while back.
with ngine running grab ecu loom and give it a bit of a wiggle engine should stutter a bit if this is the case with your car. just a thought hope it helps.

    good luck..

    Sorry, got a thick head.

    1) Yes abs common fault *THINK* theres 2 to choose from, bendix and teves
plug and play, have some bits of brake pipe ready

    2) Got to be vague here, think this is diesel that of no help to you at all.
next to the batteery is some solnoid valves, EGR and turbo, yeah defanatly wrong thread to say thia, but the tiny rubber pipes split.

    3) Must admit, did have one in, 'air flow meter' guy put 3 used but good ones on it, same again.
removed the airfilter, stuffed the TIP of my willy into the air intake, carryed n running, air leak around egr area.

Still think your avatair is a talking turd, not watched that video in other thread yet.
