I think that somebody managed to have it but it is not free, I guess it is 90 Euro for the activation. Make a research on the forum and you will find the post indexing it.

with this patch : yes

Both patches modify fr.actia.AWF.tags.GuiPSA_vc80.dll, they inject code by placing values into the registers.Versions 4.86 & 5.06 both have the same version dll, so you should be able to use the 4.86 path on 5.06 or just copy the patched dll accross.

Why not just remove the entire registration all together & have all options open?

you're right, the first patch (not public) was based on this principle and not working properly. The latter are the kinds of 'self keygen'.
