Actually i re patched it again... and it now seems to be working... Thanks for all your help on this one taximan... you've been a star !!
What maps would i need for US though ?? Is it same procedure ?? Which navcore etc...

us maps
united states 885.4087 or north america 885.4087 or both depends on where you going.
the navcore just leave it alone now its fine for above maps.
just google the maps, then copy to sd card & run fastactivate to patch new maps.
one more thing if you haven't got a folder called zip on your sd card get it from here 885zip.zip - 4shared.com - online file sharing and storage - download
unzip it & copy to sd card root to get 6 digit postcodes

Having problems !! Can find the maps to download, but cant get past the pop ups to download it directly... do you have a direct link for the US maps ?

Hi Taximan
I've update my Navcore to 8.410 and UK maps to 870.3391 and my Sat Nav appears to be working ok but when I started up Tomtom Home2 it wouldn't allow me to let it operate My TomTom. It said I couldn't use this map on my device.
I have a Go Classic and wonder what I can do to get Tomtom Home2 to accept my TT.
I followed your tutorial and got this far which is a bonus for this novice.
