Default BMW E39, changing VIN & km in IKE

    Hi all!
A friend of mine, had change his old cluster with a second hand one, but working pixels
But, after swap, in movement, the DSC lamp light on..I suppose signaling that cluster's VIN don't match steering sensor VIN.
Using PASOFT 1.36, result attached file.
Can somebody made necessary modifications VIN and mileagge:
    actual cluster VIN = GS82371
    actual cluster mileagge =226190

new VIN ( to be written) =GY04846
new mileagge = 49100 (that is real, and the car was made in 2001 !!!)

I tried to change VIN direct with PASOFT "change fgstnr" function but did'nt work.

    Thanks for help!

No, its not problem with VIN number,
the VIN number when is not good in IKE-it will come the
Dot bettwen the Km and Tripmetar.
your dash must do coding with p.a.soft 1.4.0.
dont have this options in 1.36

The "dot" shoud not appear because I want to change cluster's VIN & mileagge to match with rest of car (EWS, LCM, EGS).
    Thanks for answers.

The vin number can be changed in the dash dataset. Then correct the mileage in the LCM and in the EWS. The LCM wont read mileage untill the VIN no's match

why don't you have your friend to repair the original cluster?
If you have a problem with the pixels you need to replace the plastic connector from the digital display to the printed board
