    Default SNAPON NEW 10.4 SHOPSTREAM

I just recieved a email from snapon I think alot of people could use this.ShopStream Connect***8482; Software with Windows? 7 (32-bit) and MICROSCAN? Support

A new version of ShopStream Connect software is available that now includes support for Windows 7 (32-bit), and enhancements to better support the Bundle10.4 movie file format for MODIS***8482;, SOLUS PRO***8482; and SOLUS***8482;. The new version is recommended for all Snap-on? diagnostic tool owners and can be downloaded at http://diagnostics.snapon.com/ssc.

ShopStream Connect is a free PC-based software that extends the capabilities of Snap-on hand held diagnostic tools. Technicians can use ShopStream Connect to transfer, save, manage, review, annotate, e-mail and print files that were saved or recorded on their Snap-on diagnostic tool as well as obtain software service releases for their diagnostic unit.

I don't have Vantage or Solus so I don't know if they can store files on a card but if they can you can do what I'm doing with Modis.

I store the files on top CF card and use USB X431 CF card reader (you can use something else). Just plug in the card reader, start the Shop Stream (it will tell you, no device found) and manually go to the file in the left window.

Storing on CF is better anyway as you can store bunch of files and transfer them to your comp without dragging the scan tool.
    Best Regards, Roth.

i need to get rid of my solus pro still running 8.2 version software. snapon rep should have given me my mandatory upgrade for the first year when i bought the machine. says that they now need 800 quid to upgrade my machine they must be smoking their own stash i'd can get a brand new launch with a little bit on top for that price. my autoboss is even better than this machine at the moment . all snapon's after is people's money not give value for money all these different machines "solus, ethos, vantage, soluspro, vantagepro, modis, and now verus, are all crap because there's still cheaper machines out there giving more functionality and value for money. snapon products aren't for the poor man they're for the big wigs who's got big budgets and even then they still dont give you all the power you need in your hands from a diagnostic platform. c'mon let's look at it guys they have messed up the heritage software which was on the old mt2500, & the different vehicle systems are fairly basic and limited to just fault codes, review ecu id a few functional tests and maybe some data stream on engine abs transmission airbag ecu's depending on the vehicle they want you to use eobd and even then it's still basic information. that's where my autoboss v30 is running circles around my solus pro and i didn't pay half as much for it i've got to give credit to the chinese where their diagnostic platforms are concerned . because they give you what you want in a machine and more.there's also a couple american companies that i can say are giving people what they want from a all round diagnostic platform ie key programming, ecu coding, live data streaming as well as graphing, injector programming allbeit up to a certain year. functional tests on most components imaginable if not all, adaptions and such delights i know that no one machine can do everything but why not incorporate most of the features, if not all in one machine rather than saturating the market with all these snapon products which when you buy them costs so much and when you try to get rid of them you cant get any thing for them and they"snapon rep" dont want to buy them back off you. so thank you for the link to the shopstream connect software but to be honest with you it's just another gimmick from snapon for us to post our diag results and then they can correlate them together.
