This is a service procedure, usual for cars to go on scrapyard. The airbags are got out of the car , are put inside a pile of used tyres ( 4 - 5 tyres ) and with 12v from a battery you connect the airbag to 12v, the person doing that standing more than 7-8 m ( >25 feet ) the airbag deploys inside the pile of tyres and this is all.But for a working car never heard that. It will remain with holes inside the dashboard from where the airbags are going out inflating. You must better take out the airbags of the car without destroing the plastics in the car and explodig them outside the car not in the car.
This is the most unusual thing to do with a car, deploying the airbags, and the week is only just started !
But hitting a wall the owner took in mind ? ( joking of course ...! )

jst connect power to the airbags, or give the crash sensor on the front a nice wack, but jack up the car and get some speed going other wise they wont deploy...

either way good luck with your insurance scam

As you said, I don`t ask ( but I can imagine ). I just want to help you. Look want I wolud do :
    1. disconnect connections airbag driver
    2. take a 30ft cable with two wires, connect one end in the car to the driver airbag formerly disconnected
    3. leave the doors open to the car
    4. go hide yourself behind a brickwall
    5. connect the second end of the cable to a 12V battery
    6. bum !
repeat the procedure for the passenger airbag.
But your parents, wife, relatives know what are you doing for a living ? ( another bad joke ! )

This is very, very unsure. You would not have been there when the airbags deploys ! Hitting the sensor and run ...wow... are you speedy gonzales or what ?

the airbag has 2 pins, put positv on 1 and negative on the other.. id just run them from the battery.

be warned ive known insurance companys to check if the module has been deployed...

there is no need to jack it up. An srs system has no idea how fast a car is travelling, it is all based on force of impact

I know people who accidentally deployed airbags working in repairing vechicle body without disconnecting SRS module and battery. Obviously, the car was not running.
If you hit the impact sensor, airbags would be deployed.

Yes i too had a request like that a few days ago for a volvo s80. The car had an impact on rightside, and it was repaired only body and aibags, but not the srs module. Whent the owner crashed the car on the other side he wanted to cheat the ensurance company for replacing the SRS module...Only problem was that the impact recorded on SRS module was on the wrong side of vehicle )). So he asked me to put into srs modul crash on left side...wich i couldn't do....only clear crash and ask him to deploy airbags himself.
