    Question RENAULT MEGANE2

i have a problem with an renault megane 2 1.6 l 16valves gasoline year2002 always set the p0010(intake camshaft position actuator circuit/open bank1)and p 0340(camshaft position sensorAcircuit malfunction)The circuits and the sensors are checked there is no problem. The inlet phase gear was changed because was very noisy and the timing kit was replaced. All the tools for inlet phase gear and timing was used from local Renault dealer and tehnical information from Dialogys.I check again the timing to be sure thre is no problem and is ok .If the codes are erased, after the engine is warming and is partial load the codes appear again .Have anyone a ideea what can i do with this problem?

First of all You should read forum rules Mate! We don't mind to help You, but You should introduce Yourself first!
About Your problem..... if You have access to dealer information....just check for software upgrades from Renault. If I remember right there were some software upgrades for this thing....If wiring is OK, Cam sensor and activator is OK there always possibility of broken ECU, but check for updates first.
    Cheers!

    Hi

The Cam Sensors are very common faults on this models so i would replace one and see......... as for the Cam Actuator it has a two pin connector take a very small Screwdriver and tighten those wire clips very common again they get lose and cause poor connection to the Actuator Sensor, you can also try for the Cam Sensor plug same thing before replacing another sensor.

    Hope this helps..

    Ash

    Thanks Ash

    Hi friend.
Where the timing belt is mounted there are a point that normally gets out of the place, it advance a little bit.
You are using the correct tools but if it is already advanced you are stopping the motor a little bit out of place and you think it is on the right place.
Normally this situation causes de car doesnt start at first time and starts at second time you turn the ignition on.
    Regards,
    Nuno

    Default megane 2

i understand but the car starts normaly ,there is no problem, when the engine is cold don"t set any code visible on instrument panel (if i put the scanner i can see the codes without the "SERVICE"light on)and when i driving the car there is no diference in functionality.I check the wiring diagram and the sensors ,everything is fine on the car.Always the trouble codes says me that the camshaft actuator is open circuit and the camshaft sensor read "missing teeth".Thanks for your atention!

Check cam sensor signal pattern with scope if NG replace sensor. If sensor fault returns there is a injection computer reprogram avalible to update software, this will stop fault returning.

THANKS to all of you for help.I fix the problem with a new camshaft sensor exactly how some of you sugested.I ask the local dealer Renault and when you change the phase gear on inlet camshaft you dont need any upgrade of ECU software.Once again thank you for your support.
