Default Citroen C3 heater blower not working

    Hi all,

I have a problem with a Citro?n c3 blower motor, I'm gettin 14.5volts at the plug going into the motor but it won't come on?

Bench tested the motor using a battery n it turned ok? I then removed the blower motor resistor (it looked ok, no corrosion) and when I bridged 2 of the pins the blower motor turned ok??

I replaced the resistor thinking it was that and its still the same??

Has anyone came across this before or have any ideas?

    Thanks in advance,

    Paul.

Does your a/c console is automatic or manual. If it is manual try to set the blower speed to position number four and check if the blower runs or not.

    Hi mate,

Thanks for the prompt reply, unfortunately the heating control is electronic

When I bridge plug connections on the resistor plug the motor comes on full power, would this suggest that the heating control is faulty? It all lights up ok and looks as it should on the display but would it be possible for it to be faulty internally?

I get 14.5v at the blower motor plug but when I plug the motor in it tries to turn for a split second then stops? But on bench test with 12v the motor spins ok? It's very strange

    Thanks in advance,

    Paul.

Than the problem is power supply, take a +12 volt wire and put it directly in the connector on to the blower motor and than play with the speed. The cable of the ignition barrel is damaged and you have no power supply on the blower motor, thats why the blower turns for a split than stops.

    Hi

On peugoet you get problem with ignition electrical piece.

There is a fix out ( Meathead tips an tricks ) and it looks like official cure???

I repaired one of these before by taking it apart and fixing the internal contact.

    Regards
