Now, I am receiving an error message on dreambox, "Error loading playlist into server Server 1: HTTP error 404: not found", "Error loading filelist into server Server 1: HTTP error 404: not found".

The IP I put is of my IP which is 192.168.0.6

Would you have a link to the old VLC? Also, the default movie directory is /, do i have to change this to C:/Documents and settings/User/Desktop/MyMovies etc? Btw. would I be able to play .avi files? Does it work well for you? I appreciate your help mate.

    Thanks

    THE TRUTH
    The Hillsborough Independent Panel. 12/09/12

Today's report is black and white. The Liverpool fans were not the cause of the disaster.
The panel has quite simply found 'no evidence' in support of allegations of 'exceptional levels of drunkenness, ticketlessness or violence among Liverpool fans' and 'no evidence that fans had conspired to arrive late at the stadium' and 'no evidence that they stole from the dead and dying'.

Hmmmm maybe try a reboot on the box m8, i can't see no reason why it wont work. The error is because it's not finding the server ,which is your pc.

EDIT: I usually get that error when my firewall is blocking it.
