    Default Renault CLIP... Help please!

    Evening All.

Just got a clip with V107.

I have a Windows 7 machine. I have run the crack in the first instance. Then tried to install the CLIP software. I get the message 'the platform is not a CLIP platform, The instalation will stop'

I can't get any further. Is it down to windows 7 (does it require xp) or what could be the problem?

    I feared that...

Ill have to track down a cheap xp machine.

I take it running the CLIP software isn't to demanding on a system.

    Hi

I do agree with this XP is the best windows so far for the Automotive software programs to work with.

I bought my new laptop which had window 7............. I changed it to XP before installing any thing in just for not wanting this kind of problems.

    Ash

    Thanks Ash

No one has managed to get clip to work on 7! not to my knowledge anyway. You can install xp on your win 7 system & you will get an option screen when you boot for either 7 or xp.

    multi-boot is the only way
I know a geek that has 30 bootable partitions on one laptop.
one corrupt update doesn't lose all your tools.

XP Pro is the only way (unless your GT1 is native on Solaris)
