Default TOYOTA AVENSIS VDO ODOMETER CORRECTION 93S56

    Good Evening all.

Would anyone be kind enough to give me some info on how easy it is to adjust the mileage on a VDO Avensis speedo for 1998-2003 models?

The chip is a 93S56 eeprom.

Once you have read the eeprom? is the mileage encrypted or difficult to work out where it is stored?

    Many Thanks

Dont doubt you for a second, nothing is straightforward nowadays.

If sticking with mostly Avensis seeing as though its what i get mostly asked for by customers, what would you invest in to do from 1998-2008 ?

Tachosoft software and upa usb...........should do the trick!! Oh and a good soldering iron and a hot air station......always remove eeprom and read dump three times to make sure the data is consistent...read in 8 and 16 bit and save in both formats just in case it goes tits up........hope this enlightens you!!
