I must dispute "Then he's doing it wrong isn't he."
When modifying a TP, on my box anyway, the only field that is non-updatable is the SYM field...Trying to add a new TP with 23000 gave a "TP already exists message".
A delete/define was the answer..(In case anyone else has the same problem)
Dispute as much as you like, I altered one in the local pub yesterday and just changed 23000 and the fec and cleared 100%.

I could just change to 23000 by overwriting on my brother in law's 6900 non super and change the fec. no problem without adding transponder.

    Default Back In Business

I was rather hoping a firmware upgrade etc.. could be avoided
Until now I've reluctantly adopted the 'It aint broke don't fix it' approach
    First time for everything...

    Channel save worked
    S/W upgrade no problem
Channel restore no chance so I've had to redo all that set up...Good practice I guess

Timer now cleared, although more unstable than ever at first, the machine is now working better than ever...
Thanks again for all your help..

    As for the ongoing argument...
Updating a non-updatable field is not possible
It would seem to have been a S/W version issue and Ver 644 does not allow update of this field
It is however updatable with the new version I've installed

Hi all, in doing this I seem to have lost the satellite in the advanced edit menu. Still in the setup menu though. How do I get it back?
    Thanks in advance

menu>installation>satellite setup(press "OK" twice)this will bring satellite list up highlight the sats you want and press yellow button to save, make sure there is a tick against them.
