Hello,
Did this solution work cristi_onofrei.
It's amazing that I am having the same issue. Is this the same vehicle with remote immo box in centre of dash??
you can bypass the immo system by bridging out two pins on the immobox.....i will try to get the whole process as i carried out the procedure several times a few years ago.
Thanks darrenhyland its guys like you that we need!!
Hi,
These instructions will work for the Immobiliser Module made by Rockwell Intl (Chrysler Part No 04883320) as used on European Neons.
The method of how to programme the remotes is as follows:
1) Pop up the top part of the Dash. Be careful of the flashing LED wires.
2) Remove the 6 screws from the top part of the front section of the Dash and pull it firmly towards you to release it. Be careful of the wires attached to switches. There are more detailed instructions on removing the panels on the dash in the FAQs on the ***8216;Neons dot org***8217; site.
3) The Immobiliser Module will be found in the centre of the Dash area above the heater controls. Remove the metal bracket that prevents you from getting at the connector of the Immobiliser Module.
4) When the Modules connector is exposed, find the Black wire (that goes to the Flashing LED on the dash) in the centre of the bottom row of wires.
5) Push a metal probe with a wire attached into the hole to the LEFT of the Black wire. When this Programming Wire is Grounded with the ignition switched to ON, the LED will light steady (not flashing). The Immobiliser is now in programme or bypass mode
To programme the remotes:
6) Switch the Ignition Switch to the ON position. Momentarily touch the Programming Wire to Ground, the LED should light constant (not flashing).
7) Press both the Open and Close buttons at the same time on each of the Remotes you want to programme in turn (I don***8217;t know how many can be programmed). When you press the buttons on each Remote hold them pressed for a few seconds till you hear the door locks operate.
8 ) Switch the Ignition OFF.
9) Job done. Replace everything.
To put the Immobiliser Module into bypass mode and start the engine:
6) Switch the Ignition Switch to the ON position. Momentarily touch the Programming Wire to Ground, the LED should light constant (not flashing).
7) Turn the Ignition Switch to the full Start position.
8) The engine will start and run.
This will have to be done each time to start the engine.
If you put a hidden switch somewhere to ground the Programming Wire you will be able to start the car with it.
Regards
Hi Darren,
what do you refer to as "programming wire"
Thank you.
Yesterday we stood in front of the abyss. Today we'll move ahead.
If you need any repair manual, pm me- maybe I can help you.
anything that is insulated and conducts 12v...................just connect it to a push button switch or rig it up to a timed relay and connect the other side to earth......its refered to as the programming wire because by grounding it to earth you set the immo box in learn mode.....ready for programming.
